Vineyard

Vineyard is a plantation of grapes better know as viticulture. It is characterised by its terroir: the combination of natural factors such as soil, altitude, orientation toward the sun, microclimate etc. The terroir gives wines their distinctive taste and signature.

Properties with vineyard in Molise

Stereotypically  good wine grapes  grow in  a hillside location with dry climate and  southern exposure. The soil needs a good drainage to reduce unnecessary water uptake.  It's important to prune it in a good way to force the vine to put more of its energy into the fruit, rather than foliage. In Molise there are many vineyards, recently the autochthonous Tintilia is becoming very popular and received the DOC recognition.
